RSS to Mastodon

Auto-post your blog to Mastodon

Publish on your own site, share everywhere: the POSSE way. Broadcast watches your RSS feed and announces every new article on your Mastodon instance, from your own account.

Review before publish

Your blog is the source of truth. Mastodon is where the conversation happens.

The indieweb calls it POSSE: Publish on your Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere. Broadcast automates the syndication part, without asking you to run anything.

Posting by hand

You wrote the article. Now write the post, paste the link, repeat for every article. The step everyone eventually skips.

🤖

Self-hosted feed bots

RSS-to-Mastodon bots exist, but you host them, update them, and their posts read like a raw feed dump: title, link, done.

📡

A separate bot account

Instance feed-bot services post from a bot account, not yours. Followers, replies, and boosts happen away from your actual profile.

From RSS feed to your instance in 3 steps

Set up once. Every new post gets shared. Takes less than 5 minutes.

1

Connect your RSS feed

Works with any blog that has an RSS or Atom feed: Hugo, Jekyll, Astro, WordPress, Ghost. If it publishes a feed, it works.

2

Connect your instance with OAuth

Enter your instance URL (mastodon.social, fosstodon.org, your own server…) and approve the connection there. No password is ever shared with Broadcast.

3

Choose your mode

Review each generated post before it goes out, or let Broadcast publish automatically the moment your newsletter is sent.

Posts that sound like you, not like a feed bot

Written from the article

Each post is generated from your article's actual content: a real summary, not a bare title and link. The article URL is appended automatically.

Fits in 500 characters

Posts respect the standard Mastodon character limit, so nothing gets cut off mid-sentence.

Review-first by default

In manual mode you get an email when a post is ready. Edit, publish, or discard it. Unattended drafts expire after 7 days and are never published behind your back.

Your tone of voice

Generated posts match your article's own style and language by default. Or pick a tone: technical, casual, opinionated, or playful.

Auto-posting to Mastodon is included in Broadcast's paid plans, together with the newsletter itself. Try it on your own feed with the free trial.
