Social Sharing

Automatically share your new posts to your connected social channels every time a newsletter is sent.

When Broadcast sends a newsletter, it can also post a message to your connected social accounts. The post is generated automatically from the article content, with no copy-pasting between platforms.

Social sharing is available on paid plans.

How it works

Each time a newsletter is sent, Broadcast generates a post for every connected social account. Depending on the mode you've configured, the post is either published immediately or held for your review.

Social accounts are connected at the campaign level. Each campaign can have one account per network.

Supported networks

NetworkHow you connectPostPublishingTone
BlueskyHandle and app passwordUp to 300 characters, article URL includedManual or automaticConfigurable
MastodonOAuth on your instanceUp to 500 characters (standard instance default), article URL includedManual or automaticConfigurable
LinkedInOAuthUp to 3,000 characters, article URL includedManual or automaticConfigurable
DiscordChannel webhook URLMessage posted to the channelAutomatic onlyNot configurable
WebhookYour own HTTP endpointPOST request with a JSON payloadManual or automaticNot configurable

On Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn, the article URL counts against the character limit: the generated text is shortened to leave room for it.

Connection details and credentials are configured directly in Integrations → Network inside your campaign.

Promotion modes

Both modes are available on Bluesky, Mastodon, LinkedIn and webhooks. Discord is always automatic and has no draft step.

Manual

A draft post is created automatically each time a newsletter goes out. You receive an email notification with a link to review it. From there you can edit the content, publish it, or discard it.

Drafts that are not acted on expire after 7 days and are never published automatically.

Automatic

The post is published immediately when the newsletter is sent, with no action required on your part. Activity (published or failed) is recorded in the campaign timeline.

Tone of voice

By default, Broadcast adapts the tone of the generated post to match the article's own style and language. On Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn, you can optionally override this per connected network:

ToneStyle
TechnicalFactual, precise, names concrete concepts
CasualConversational, first person, direct
OpinionatedTakes a clear position, asserts a point of view
PlayfulLight tone, humor welcome, emojis allowed

Reviewing pending posts

In Manual mode, go to Integrations → Network → Pending to see drafts waiting for review.

  • Publish: posts the message to the network
  • Discard: deletes the draft

Drafts expire after 7 days if not acted on.
